is the front clip totally bolt on/off?

    never had one off..just wondering cause im ganna rip the one of the blazer to make it easier to pull the engine/tranny out together..

    It is removable in 1 peice, but be CAREFUL, theres more friggin wires, hoses and bolts holding it on than you could ever imagine. When you think you've got them all, your about 1/2 way there.

    I say completely dismantle it. When you go to put it back on, you can touch up the spots that have rust and replace bolts/parts that are ready to crap out. The common spots are the front of the inner fender where it bolts onto the front radiator support. You may find that it's rusted together. Other little things can be replaced like your radiator rubber bracket gasket doohickers which deteriorate. Personally, I'd go with a 91 front clip while you are at it...

    but completely taking it apart might make for nicking corrners and scratching which will make little rust spots later I say take it off in 1 peice if you arnt wanting to do any work to it espically if you have a freind that can help you pull it off

    haha to listen to you guys talk i cant help but laugh...this truck is the biggest rusted out pos ever lol /forums/images/graemlins/rotfl.gif...totally a parts truck..no worrys bout damage hear! this is simply to make it easier pulling the moter/trans together out

    I took mine off with the help from my dad it is not that hard to do and dose not take to long just it sucks if you want to leave the rad bolted to the clip because you got to drane it.
