I am new to the forum here ( everyone here helping me get my 91 K5 rolling again ) and I was wondering if there was a demand for polyurathane engine/transmission/transfer case mounts. We specialize in this particular type of fabrication here at the shop as we make custom mounts for Fieros and VTEC into earlier Honda applications. To see what we are capable of check out our site, West Coast Fiero ( www.cwestco.com ) - any feedback would be greatly appreciated

Got my 91 K5 back after 2 years - and man I need parts - BAD!!!!

As far as I know right now, no one makes engine mounts out of Poly for the first gen. K5's so that's a idea. One more thing is that on the newer 1 ton trucks (around 1988) with the TH400 trans and NP205 t-case and the short adapter they have one long rubber mount under the short adapter. I can't find those made in Poly either. Thats all I know about right now, but I know people have asked Stephen at West Coast Fiero

    See Ya,
    Keith

Nobody makes poly motor mounts for 67-72 Trucks. I've looked everywhere. I would be interested.

is there a place that I can get a stock mount set, would need them to reproduce mounting dimensions and locations. Also, how many are there for 1 application, ( left and right engine mount, trans mount, transfer case mount? )

Autozone sells them (rubber) for about $9 ea. Both sides are the same so you would only need to buy one. Hell, if you don't muck it up you can return it when you're done and get your money back.

Oh, I'd buy a set also. Wish I had some now, I'm putting my engine in tomorrow.

Transfer and tranny mounts already exist in urethane (Energy Suspension). I don't know of any urethane motor mounts.

I just bought a set of polyurethane engine mounts for my 72
k5 a couple months ago. The brand was Prothane. I bought
them from Suspension Restoration Parts. http://www.suspension.com
Everything I've ordered from them was shipped out the same
day, good service. I also bought my energy suspension body,
tranny and t-case mounts from them.

Sorry Bosco, that's the first I've heard of anyone making them. I thought you had a good thing going. There's nothing like a monopoly.

nope - havent made any yet. What I was going to make is a poly mount for my tranfer case, however I am still confused as to whether or not there are all ready poly engine mounts out there or not - if you guys know what years of blazers that are totally skipped over for poly mounts let me know and I will start the market for them

I'm not sure as to what years they don't make 'em for, but I know that they do have the transfer case mounts available for the '69-'72 with the NP205.

There are definately poly engine mounts, xfer-case mounts, and kicker bushings on the xfer-case. I emailed the guys at the above mentioned suspension.com website. They sell the poly engine mounts in black or red for $76 a pair. Sorry Dude.

Patric, I tried calling at the nuber youj had given me regarding your engine mounts, however the number didnt seem to work. I have the stock rubber '72 engine mounts here at the shop and we are currently making designs for a polyurathane engine mount. Give us a call when you can, 310-305-4111
