Check out these cams for the TBI 454 to minimaze problems with the computer:
    Crane 134122
    Edlebrock 2162
    Comp Cam 11-206-3
    Lunati 06202

BTW the specs on the Comp cam I listed (Part # 11-206-3) are
    Duration 203/212 @ 0.050 lift
    0.460/0.485 valve lift

Too high of duration will cause problems with the computer. /forums/images/graemlins/waytogo.gif

If you tell Comp cams everything including carbed, or type of FI, computer/non-computer, then I think the one they recomend is the way I'd go.

None of the Xtreme line cams will work well with fuel injection. Their lobe seperation angles are too tight.

Just went and checked out the specs on that cam on the website.

I think it will work. Lobe seperation angle is 112*, which is generally accepted as EFI-friendly.

RPM range 1000-5000 /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif Sounds perfect to me.

Sorry to mislead you, I should have checked the specs on it first.

I had an Xtreme 4x4 in a previous motor that would not have been TBI friendly. Generally they're ground on 110-111* LSA but that line of BBC marine cams is an exception.

I run the next step down from the cam you have spec'd on my 454. The truck hasn't left the driveway yet but the motor is very responsive and the TBI fuel mixture seems to be just fine. I do have a custom chip and a few mods though, so I'm not sure how a factory set up would do.

Comp cams will be your best bet on getting the right cam for your truck and driving.
