    Re: Does anyone have a SM465 or a NP241???

Well, I KINDA have one, but it's in PA /forums/images/graemlins/rotfl.gif. Oh wait, we've got one in our work truck, but it's 2wd /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif. I've got the dimensions on a sm465/np205 combo, but I'm sure that's different from one with a 208. Sorry no help /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif.

ok- i got quoted today for a new driveshaft. 1350 stainless slip yoke and 1350 rear yoke with both ujoints and 3"x0.150" tubing (i think) driveshaft for $135. how's that sound?

Sounds pretty reasonable to me. Last time I got a driveshaft built it cost around $50-$60. It was a front for a 208/10bolt. I've seen people on here quote pretty damn high, but then again location may have been a factor (i.e. West/East coast versus Hillbilly Bob's weld shop of Okc).

I think the only reason we're used to a higher quote is because it cost significantly more to do a CV Style. This seems to be a regular shaft.
