Don't laugh. Those smaller tow hooks shown in those pics go for around $75 brand new from the dealership, with all the new bolts and hardware. I know because I've got a set on my truck now.

Now those actual hooks up for bids I have never seen before. Like the description says, they are larger than the smaller hooks which are so common on our trucks.

I'm mighty tempted to bid on those hooks just so I know they are larger, stronger and will pull more weight. /forums/images/graemlins/deal.gif

Wow, someone has bid almost $60! Too bad they don't shop here. I hope its someone w/ a '73-80, because these wont fit. Then said buyer can jam them up the sellers ass. Hell, maybe I'll bid on 'em /forums/images/graemlins/rotfl.gif

I know of a local boneyard that has several MA dpw trucks,1988-up style, they all have those factory hooks in the front--I can get them for 20 bucks a pair all day long! /forums/images/graemlins/rotfl.gif Maybe I should go get them tomorrow--and put em on e-bay(if I only knew how!).Those trucks also have nice pintle hitches on them too--I guess since us taxpayers are paying for them, its ok to junk EVERYTHING huh?. /forums/images/graemlins/rolleyes.gifThis guy may be from my area--I saw the same type of hooks advertised in the WantAdvetiser magazine for I think 69 bucks! He's definately smokin something! /forums/images/graemlins/eek.gif

Alot of our old state trucks, the burbs and p.u's had the bigger hooks on them. I didn't think they were worth THAT much!!

Yeah that's what I think I paid for the set I have that I put on the 88 2wd burb. I had bought them several years ago. The came off a burb even. Hehe the burb I got them off was in a BAD head on. The driverside hook was about dead center of where the radiator should have been. Took me a minute to find the passenger side one. It was up by the passengerside upper door hinge. It was still attached to the end of the frame. /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif
