I was wondering if this big truck thing was only a guys thing? I don't think I've ever seen a lady driving a K5 ever.

I see about half and half driving around in K5's. For some reason a lot of hot chicks drive K5's.

I would say mostly a dude thing, but I've seen some chics with big trucks. And also, there are females on this site with K5's. So, no, its not only a guy thing.

In North NJ, the closest thing to a K-5 that women drive are 'Burbs. I have yet to see a woman drive a K-5. Broncos, yes, K-5s, no. Makes no sense.. but apparently, in NJ, women like the big 'ol burbs and 'Bros. If I don't see a mom in a minivan, or a wagon, she's in a 'Burb. Must be that whole 4 door thing. Easy way to get in the kiddies in the back seat.. heck, that's why K-5s had removeable tops!

It's all fun 'n games, till someone gets stuck.

  8. My neighbor has a lifted K-5 on 35's and it is not there only vehicle, but I see his wife picking up the kids and groceries with it. Hell it may be hers and he owns the lil car.

My wife drives the Crate 350, TH350 with stout shift kit, locked, dual 2 chamber flowmastered 79 as her daily. I drive a Supra daily. Sometimes she takes the 75 if the weather is nice and the top is off.

    Hey Honey:

K-5's aren't just for the boys. I LOVE my '87. You are right though, I don't see other women with them either. In fact I hadn't paid much attention to Blazers/Broncos myself til the OJ thing. Then started thinking this is the perfect vehicle: Carry passengers like a car, haul stuff like a Burb but shorter and handles great, and built like a tank. One of your best kept guy secrets or else we all would have one!

My teenage daughters and their friends love it too. Feel sorry for their boyfriends - now have to get a hotter car than Mom's :)

If you see a K-5 full of cute blondes plus their Mom in the NW, it is probably us!

    See ya.

My mom drove our orange 76 for most of the 16 years we had it. Dad drove it when he was pulling something or going hunting and camping. Then they bought my Blazer in 93, and mom drove it most of the time until I bought it in 98. She always ends up in the truck because she only has to drive 1/5 as far as dad does to work. She's a middle school teacher, and all the kids know that the BIG truck in the parking lot is Mrs. X's truck.

Well, K5s are quite rare over here at all.
The only chick I saw in K5 was wearing US Army uniform and helmet, so no idea how she was looking.
