Today I saw a 1999 Tahoe with 120K on the odometer, how can someone put 120K on a vehicle in less than two years? My 89 K5 has only 76K on the clock...............?

6.2L diesel (6.5L now), TH400 (4L80e now), lots of the little stuff is GM stock (seat belts, etc), and GM now is designing the next generation of smaller HUMVEE's, they might as well be. Give me a military HUMVEE any day though. No radio, no real doors, heater never works, canvas tops leak, makes all kinds of odd noises, can go everywhere, big tires stock, belches big, black clouds of smoke when you step on it, non-skid camo paint, completely padless seats, ummmmmmm......what is there not to like? Easy, they drive a lot. I drive 80 miles a day, 5-days a week, to work. And then I go railfanning, parts hauling, swap meeting, etc on the weekends, none of which is within 30 miles from home. In 1.5 years I've gone from 29,000 miles to 82,000 miles. And I still owe $12K. Wanna buy it?

That amount of mileage isn't that tough to accumulate for someone like a salesperson. A relative of mine averages around 50-60,000 miles per year.

Here in Nevada 50k, in a year is pretty common mileage to put on a rig. I live 300 miles from a large city. Thats 600+ mile round trip to take the wife shopping.
