looks bigger than a abrams (to me anyways)

the turit looks like it has a turit, but the thing that threw me was the trailer.

it doesn't have many wheels, it does look like there is wheels on the center of the rear axel.
And from what i know about tanks there not exactly light that things would have to weigh tons and tons

    :haha: :haha: :haha:
You obviously don't know about transport trailers. Hell We just loaded a trailer like that this afternoon at work with a D6M dozer on the front and a Mack dump truck on the back and it didn't even phase it.

I used to build heavy haul low bed trailers. 60 ton is the low end of the scale...I have built several that were capable of 250 tons and were wall to wall tires just like the one in the pic. What makes me think it's not real is that it has just a plain gooseneck attached to a highway tractor. The heavy stuff uses what's called a "jump Jeep" between the gooseneck and the tractor. The jump Jeep also has an axle which helps keep some of the weight off the tractor.

I don't know squat about tanks but I know 120k lbs isn't that big a deal on a heavy haul trailer. He'll need a jeep and a booster to be street legal at least.

at my old shop we got a welding job in to repair the undercarriage on one of the P&H 4100 electric shovels from a Oil sands mine in Fort MacMurray. They trucked it down to Calgary, it weighed 250,000lb and that was only half of it and it was already stripped bare. I tell you what, the poor fawwking welders that were on it had to gouge for 3 MONTHS on that bastard. before welding.

and there was one coker vessel that went from Calgary to Ft Mac. on rubber tire heavy haul that weighed 900,000lbs. there were 5 tractors on that simultainiously though 2 pushers and 3 pullers IIRC

Jump Jeep...this is still for a fairly light trailer.

Here is a tridem Jeep...for even heavier loads. The stuff just get's weird looking beyond this.

found a pic of the coker move. 4 pushers and one lead puller, 900,000lbs. but rene's 2nd pic there is a pretty classic setup for an oilfield heavy hauler. they're in our yard all the time hauling drill rigs out

Here is what we use (The US NAVY) to unload the Reactor Compartment from the barge on the Columbia River in Hanford Washington.

    Clicky

The RC is about 30 feet in diameter and weighs a ****ton. The outer hull is ~3" of HY80 and is lead lined. The complete Reactor is still inside with the exception of fuel it is a complete system including all pumps and valves. I just though the size of the rig they tow it to the graveyard with fit in with this conversation. Oh you can click the pic and zoom in for a better view.
