Everytime im working, i get another wound, Today i was spinning my rotors to see how warped they are, and my finger got sucked between the backplate and the rotor, it peeled the skin away from the side of my fingernail, and scraped a half inch piece off of the top of my finger, Once i get a digi camera, im gonna start taking pics of my wounds, shoulda seen when i dropped a leaf spring on my thumb, fingernail fell off about a week later....

Ouch. Hope the pain is bearable.

My "new" fingernail has finally grown back 80% after I was setting down a 12 bolt too quickly in early January and smashed it.

About 6 months ago I broke my big toe by dropping a 14 bolt carrier (complete with ring gear) on it from about 3 feet up. The toe nail is still pretty mangled looking.

A couple years ago when I was installing a soft top I was drilling a 1/8" hole...the bit broke and the drill rammed down and the busted end of the drill bit went through the nailbed of my thumbnail. The nail has a permanent split in it now. That one got my attention right away...LOL

At work I regularly cut, mash, grind or burn something.../forums/images/graemlins/eek.gif

Yeah, just about every wrenching session something happens. I'm still trying to regrow skin on top of my knuckles from the wrench slipping off and punching the frame. /forums/images/graemlins/rolleyes.gif

man when i was cutting my fenders i was beating back the inner fenter and i missed whith a 5lbs sledge. Well my finger hit that nice fresh sharp fender edge and almost cut it clean off. I didnt even realize i had cut myself untill i saw a puddle of blood about 5" wide and noticed blood steaming out of my finger. I almost fainted from blood loss.

    Work related injuries......... /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

    In the last year I've-

    1. Burnt my hand on a genset

    2. Cut the tip off my right hand pointer finger with some bigass pipe cutters

    3. Cracked my front right upper tooth when a piece of sidewalk I was jackhammering out shot up at my face.

That's just the serious injuries. Every day I get to experience pain one way or another.......

I figure if I saved every bit of blood tissue and bone I've knocked off my body and hair that I've burnt off in the last 35 years, I could build a spare "me". He'd be an ugly bastid, thats for sure /forums/images/graemlins/rotfl.gif

If you think that's bad then read below:
Last Wednesday I've cut off my index finger on my right hand while using a table saw. After five days in a hospital I am finally home. For the next 30 days I'll have to infuse something called Vancomycin, and twice a week a nurse will come to my home to take my blod. I am out of work for next six weeks and I can't even work on my truck. /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif

/forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif just playin buddy. /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif hope your finger is (or will be soon!) good as new. Guess this situation reinforces just how dangerous power tools can be no matter how many times you use them. The real question for the victim is: next time are you gonna use a plastic push stick or somethin made from some nice strong type of wood. /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif
