I thought I would share something that happened to me recently, it's almost too unbelievable. Here it goes...I was filling up the K5 at the local Costco the other day, just standing there minding my own business looking around. I notice this older feller behind me filling up his Cherokee, he keeps staring at my back window. Finally he says to me "Okay, I give up...what is (speaking slowly) ColoradoK5.com?" I tell him it is THE Blazer website where fellow K5'ers can swap info, parts and generally whatever Blazer oriented. So he says "Oh, okay." I couldn't help myself and I thought what the heck, so I added in...you guessed it..."You drive a Jeep, so you wouldn't understand." He just stood there with a dumbfounded look on his face, got in and drove off. I just stood there grinning and snickering to myself. Has anyone else had a similar incident?

The other day someone thought I was Offroad Design. He asked what kind of stuff "we" made at ORD. I told I just bought some stuff from them and they focused on fullsize GM stuff.

I guess it was because I had a sticker on my truck and one of their hats on.:dunno:

He was driving an S-10 blazer, BTW.

Never had anyone ask about the ColoradoK5.com stuff.

I was pulling a couple of kids out of a river the other day, I had walked down to them and asked if they needed help. When I drove my Blazer down to them they started jumping up and down. They knew.
    It made me feel good.
One of them had asked the other one if they trusted me. The one replied" Do you see his truck? I think he has done this before"

I pulled some kids out of a mud hole one night after they knocked on my door at about 9pm-they had burried a F-350 diesel in this field and had broken chains etc. for the past 4 hours.

One of the kids was a punk loud mouth that was in a "heep",,He was talkin **** sayin' that K-5's were just big bulky "heeps" They had never seen a recovery strap in action before. I backed down to the truck and rigged up the 6" strap,,,

I told the kid driving,,"when you hear my engine rev,,,hang on"
he said "why" ? I said "cause all hell is fixin' to break loose " and walked back to my truck--As soon as I saw his reverse lights come on,, I floored it--750 HP roared to life ,,4 roostertails of mud about 20 ft high !!
He popped out of the hole and I continued to drag him about another 600 ft
just for the hell of it,,with his brakes on the whole time,,

When I stopped,,,no mouths were runnin'--I threw my strap back in the truck walked past the punk in the "Heep" and told him "It's a K-5 thing,,,you wouldn't understand..

I have 4" w/ 33's too and my nephew loves my "monster truck". Mainly b/c his dad has never gotten his hands dirty and drives an Explorer that has never seen a gravel road.

I've got a K1500, can I understand or can't I be in the club? I do have a sticker waiting to go on:

At the top it says "Like a rock"

And at the bottom it says "A Great Big Rock", with the genuine chevrolet logo in the middle.
