    IT\'S MINE!!!!!!

Yesterday I drove home my new 1983 Jimmy 6.2L. 90 thousand on the odometer, has the orignal window sticker in the Glove box and everything. I'm stoked. I'm warning you guys, I'm probably gonna have about 3 million questions as I try to fix this beast up. This is my first 4x4, and I think I picked a winner (as opposed to a Jeep). I work with a guy who has a CJ7, so I'm gonna have to show him what's what. My son can't wait to go wheelin' for the first time. You guys were a big help in making my decision.
    THANKS!!!!
    Eric

She's a beast all right. I thought it was the best last night when I went through the drive through and they asked me to turn off my engine to place my order...That's what a truck should sound like. I'm hoping to get some pics soon so I can show the world.
    Thanks again,
    Eric

Congrats... And at only 90K miles on it, it must still be practically new!

That site will answer lots of questions. The Haynes Diesel manual will answer more questions!!!

90.000mls.? It is a brand new car. Mine has more than 400,000 now and I would not like to know, if an european car is able to do this distance so problem-free. By the way, my wife is beastlier than the Burb... /forums/images/icons/grin.gif

I think you will be happy about your choice. My father (God Rest His Sole) was always a stickler for diesels. In 1988 he and I purchased NEW a 6.2 GMC Customized Conversion van with 19 miles. WE had watched the vehicle for several weeks at the Dealership and checked often to see if any there were any takers or lookers. One day my father said let's buy it. It didn't take long that day for them to drop the price of the vehicle because no one wanted a Diesel Customized van. I still have that GMC van today with 245,000 travel miles and going stong. 24 mpg with 9 adults and luggage. A great machine to drive UT football (GO VOLS) on the weekends. ENJOY!!!
