It's official... I'm hosting a good old fashioned Southern Style cookout in my backyard in Waterloo, WI... yeah I know I'm a Yankee, but I was a redneck when I was down south, and I haven't lived in a city of more than 3000 population since I moved back to Wisconsin.

I will order all the food and supply the half barrel of any Miller Product... I ask that each attendee please RSVP with the number of guests who will be making the trip up to the Dairy state for my little bash. We can plan a wheeling trip while we are at it, I've now found plenty of places we can go in under a few hours to get some good mud flying.

    The menu items will include:

    Crawfish
    Jumbo Shrimp
    Oysters
    Fried Okra
    Corn on the Cob
Whole Pig... if enough people want to come.
and I'll be cooking Boiled Peanuts all day!!!

We'll have to negotiate on price per plate, and I have an acre back yard. We also have lots of public parks in the area if we get too many people. All are welcome who bring a 4x4... e-mail me soon. By the way, this party will be in July... Likely the weekend of July 9th, since my B-day is on the 8th. Good excuse for me to have a party. =) I'm willing to foot some of the total bill since its my party, but it will be expensive for all the food...

Other menu item suggestions are welcome... I haven't had a Southern Cookout for about 5 years, so I know I'm missing something.

If you're serious and there'll be somewhere to wheel you can count me in. Six hours isn't a bad haul.

I say you make it an all weekend deal. Start it off Friday, wheel Saturday, party Saturday night, wheel and go home on Sunday.

Sounds like a plan... i have to run that one by the wifey though... I also invited my family, parents, sister, some cousins, etc... but they won't be wheeling with us unless they bring their own trucks... One of my cousins is driving a Subaru Impreza, so he should be rarin' and ready to go wheeling or at least show us some Rally skillz.... =) so, yeah, we can wheel Friday Night and all morning Saturday, then party Saturday afternoon through the night, and head back out to the trails on Sunday morning.

Oh yeah... and it may just be moved to Black River State Forest due to the size of the area, and the short drive time to get to the Wheeling grounds... =)
