    It\'s Raining!!!

Are you guys in the area staying dry?

I guess the plans of fourwheeling the Nueces River this weekend will be postponed or called off. /forums/images/icons/frown.gif

I just strapped some pontoons and a Evinrude on the K5, so I'm set! /forums/images/icons/laugh.gif Rain Sucks! I hope it stops soon, and I hope The Slab isn't full-o-water. But at least we'll have some mud to romp in, which we usually don't this time of year! /forums/images/icons/smirk.gif

Prolly head down to the town of Uvalde and take my tires off and float the Nueces River with them. /forums/images/icons/laugh.gif /forums/images/icons/grin.gif

    lol

Just think about it. If the Slab floods it'll prolly wash some of that sand away and uncover some new rock formations or obstacles for us to play on. /forums/images/icons/laugh.gif /forums/images/icons/grin.gif

    Re: It\'s Raining!!!

Ok, all status on the slab. Well actually I haven't been to slab since Sunday night. I tried to get to it today coming from Hwy71, but I was in family car and couldn't get through. The river upstream in Llano is just about a foot or two over where it was Saturday afternoon when I was on it. But my sources say that ther has been enough rain between Llano and Kingsland the water is running over the slab. to actually comfirm this I would have to get back out the rain and drive the 2.5 miles down there and look. Just maybe I will here in a little bit, but I doubt it.
Let me know a slab run in the near future and I'm in, well for as far I can make it before my clutch linkage slips again.

Sorry Guy's it's my fault, I bought a soft top. Best way to make it rain other than washing your car.

    Thanks for the info.

Man, it doesn't want to stop here in S.A. /forums/images/icons/frown.gif
Just when you think it's over it starts all over again.
The problem now is the water has nowhere to go anymore but into peoples houses.

    Anyone have a boat?

No no...it's my fault. I cut the top of my blazer and have to put a tarp on it. Sorry folks!

Just take one of your boggers off and sit in the middle of it and start paddling! /forums/images/icons/laugh.gif

My brother lives in Bandera. He lives outside of town where it's a little higher up so his house is fine, but he said the town is flooded /forums/images/icons/frown.gif

    Re: It\'s Raining!!!

I checked the slab tonight, the water hed been runnung over it, but has receeded back to where it's not anymore. It is up just below the top of the slab at its lowest point. It looks like it was 1 to 1.5 feet higher maybe a foot above where it was before the rain started.

And just you all know, when we got the rain a month or so ago it was my fault. I took my top off for the first time and it rained that night, and the next... Till I finally put it back on when I was at work topless and a storm rolled in and soaked my entire interior. Then didn't rain again till now, so thanks to all of you who went topless to get us some more rain.

    Re: It\'s Raining!!!

I don't have to see the slab now to let you all know that is flooded as of right now. The river is rolling pretty good in Llano and about 5 miles west of town. So I have no doubt the slab is flooded now.
