at this time i use bag balm . seems to work good.

Burt's Bees Hand Salve is the stuff I use. You can find it at your local Hippie Store, er, natural foods store. I swear by this stuff.

Goo dpost, I get dried out from the motorcycle, so I'd like to see what's good, too. I'm gonna look around for the bee stuff. I've tried nuetrogena, not bad, either.

Discovered this stuff when I worked at a plant nursery in January. Doesn't wash off easily, doesn't smell froofy, and doesn't hurt. Seems expensive, but a can will last for goddamn ever.

Working in EMS I wash my hand at least 12 times an hour. One of the NP's told me good ole fashion petroleum jelly works. I take a big glob, wipe it all over my hands and put on my work gloves when I work on my K5. I do the same when I sleep, but use cotton socks. It sounds gay but man it works. Real cheap too :D !!

    haha, caught that eh? :haha:

Just one of those irony things for me... :wink1: I may have the knees of a geriatric gimp, but my hands hold up great...

I had a friend years ago that use to get that.. Hands would dry up to the point of cracking and bleeding... That had to suck...

Thankfully I don't have any issue with it at all, and hey the thinner heals cuts mega quick! :haha:

I do have some mechanic friends who swear by the vaseline treatment tho, say it makes them wash up easier too...

    en-BALM-ed !

I have dry skin all year, never mind winter when I'm sitting near a wood stove for 6 months!..I look like a lizard after winter is over!..I've used "Bag Balm" on my hands when they dry out and crack,or baby oil on my face and forehead..other moisturizer stuff with Aloe in it works good too,but most smell like something a woman or fairy would use..:doah:

One note--just because it says "Bag Balm"--DOES NOT mean use it on your BAG!..:eek1:

It's meant for cows udders, not scrotums!.. ..but it works on humans too..
(my friends wife uses it on her boobs!)...:p:

I can hear the new commercial now..

"BAG BALM"--It's strong enough for a COW--but GENTLE enough for HUMANS!

    :haha:

I tried the Zims and Cornhuskers lotion. They helped, but not enough. Years ago I found some lotion by Epona called Horse Handlers. Smells like vanilla, which is cool with me. My fingertips crack and bleed like crazy during the winter. Horse Handlers will actually HEAL the cracks in a couple of days.
