here it goes. i came upon a jacobs mileage master ignition system. i had heard somewhere that it wouldnt work on some types of distributors. i have a 83' suburban with a stock 350. will it work? and yes i realize most of the people in here dont like this system, but i got it real cheap and i want to try it out for myself. thanks for the help.

I never really understood why jacobs seems to get such a bad rap. I have used there stuff and never had problems. they don't do any race car payouts like M.S.D , Mallory and crane do, but there products are just as good. I think what you have is basically the same as the msd 5 series boxes. lower rpm, no major engine modifications. if your truck is mostly stock, it should work fine. Jacobs is still around, so you might want to contact them and make sure your model will work and make sure you have everything you need. I love there Nitrous Mastermind control boxes. There the nuts!!
