Jason's maintainance tip of the day

Jason\'s maintainance tip of the day

When filling your auto. trannie with atf, instead of messing with a long skinny funnel, use the top off of a bottle of 80-90 wt. this way you can just squirt it right down the dipstick tube with much less mess. used this same method to fill my 208 instead of using one of those hand pumps that take a century to empty a quart.

i'm sure this has been done before but i thought i'd pass it along.[IMG]

I use a sports water bottle myself....... pop the top and squirt it in!

That jeep thing? Yah I understand it....... Like my Blazer? http://community.webshots.com/user/blazerk5

Actually, this hint might come in handy for newbies. The refill hole on a 208 is a beotch to get to.

I remember the first time I serviced my 208 and spent 40 minutes refilling it with a little 1/3 litre oil can. WHAT A PAIN[IMG]!!!!!

Another option is to use the top of a sport-drink bottle(one with a spout) and screw it onto the top of the ATF bottle........one of the boys here pointed that one out to me.

Damn it! I thought I was the only one who thought up that way to fill a 208. [IMG]

You can ALSO use the gear oil pointed nozzle with a bit of clear tubing or big vacuum line on the tip. Just make sure its on there good. Works great for filling T-Cases.9/11/01..Never forget...Never forgive

Re: Jason\'s maintainance tip of the day

i just use a 6 foot long piece of clear tube with a funnel and pour from outside the truck for the 208
just have to make sure you have something to catch the extra the overflow

It needs a bigger motor.
what's in it now?
doen't matter it NEEDS A BIGGER MOTOR
