I do believe I have had it with JC Whitney. Should have known there were problems when I realized they have THE SLOWEST FREAKIN' WEBSITE THIS SIDE OF UZBEKISTAN.

First, I get a ripped seat cover, back it went...

Second, a console that looked like something you would get in a really big Happy Meal, and when I say Happy, I mean CHEAP! and disposable. It went back...

And today the last straw, headlight bezels that weren't even close to the right size (not to mention the dried paint drips and screw holes that were gouged with a blunt rock).

JEEZ! And I thought it might be nice to get parts somewhere besides a junk yard. All I ended up with were no upgrades and a hole in my wallet from all the return shipping.

JC Whitney is not getting near my time or my money, ever again. [IMG] [IMG]

I have bought a bunch of things at Carparts.com and everthing went great, although if you ordered 6 small things, you'd get six individual boxes and 30lbs of packing peanuts. Then I ordered a muffler and tailpipes from them to get my truck ready for a trip I was going on, and they shipped the pipes and no muffler. The trip came and went, and still no muffler. I got one somewhere else, and then they finally tell me that it is no longer manufactured. I hook up the stuff, and they sent me one of the wrong tailpipes, so the truck sits while another trip goes by...

I mention Carparts.com because they have now merged with JC Whitney...which means they will probably be carrying the same crap as JC. If you are looking for velour footpedal cushions or flaming skull shift lever knobs with built-in lighter and compass, JC Whitney is the place. Anything important, I'd use Cheyenne or LMC.

There is no substitute for going into a local parts shop and getting what you need from a real live person...

Just complain to them about the shipping it back... since it was their fault they will say to make a photo copy of the reciept and they will send you a check to cover it... They are kinda dumb but they will give ya back your cash. I've always have had pretty decent luck with them.... just have to tell em how it is......

C'mon captain brake pedal... quit looking for the parade and drive!! [IMG]

JCW isn't the greatest but it is cheap stuff... you tend to get what you pay for. Who care about carparts.com ... they suck even worse then JCW. Talk about slow service... cripes they are slow. Then on top of it they always seem to be out of stock and then you get a different date in your email every frik'n day ... just the flat out worst service I have ever gotten and right up there w/ 4WPW IMO. Heck I wouldn't order from them if it wasn't for their 33% of deal and beat the system to get in a bunch of times. Ended up getting $600 of stuff for like $400 atleast [IMG]

I live right down the street from JC Whitney. I just go to the retail store and be careful what I buy there.

Has anyone ordered from Carpartx.com? Ive been to their site and they seem to have good prices. They only do exterior parts though.
Ive got the OER catolog for chevy/gmc trucks/blazers/jimmys and they list OEM and OER so you can see how mush you would save buying replacement parts as opposed o buying GM. They have all the parts.

I've never ordered from JC Whitney but I agree with Mike (that was hilarious). Since you mentioned their website, you know what REALLY pi$$es me off? I hate it when a supplier has a website up and has contact info and then doesn't even email you back when you email them a question. I think these chumps should be exposed on this site. For starters, it was AGR's website. I emailed them a question last week and they never responded. I mean, why in the heck have that feature on your website if you are not going to bother answering?

Yea I hate when you email a question and never get a reply. I emailed Godfather customs trying to find a Roll Pan for my Blazer and they never replied. I know someone makes them cause a friend of mine had one on his 85 K5....

Even though some guys on this board knock 4WPW, at least THEY return their emails. Oh, and another thing that pi$$es me off is when companies charge for catalogs. I mean, that's like charging you a fee to go inside a store and browse. And some offer to refund the price of the catalog if you buy something. Geeze, where do they get off?!!

Okay, I'm off my soap box now.
