anyone else jealous of how the pre-73 chevys and *gasp* even the '70s fords have such nice big round wheel wells that require no cutting to fit large tires with minimal lift? its like a match made in heaven.. although I wouldnt trade my 77 for the world

Something is awyre, I have a 72 and I have cut more metal and fender and I ever thought I would. Are you sure you are thinking 1Gens?

I'm running 35's and I must have cut 5 pound of sheet metal and it still rubs.

yeah Im definately talking about the 1st gens... Ive never had one and I dont know anyone who does but when I see them, I see huge tires and not a whole lot of lift, but plenty of tire clearance on those perfect radiused wheel wells...

are you cutting the outter fenders? maybe its just an illusion but it sure looks like a good fit
