    Friend may want a Jeep Wrangler with the 4.0L

    Any pros/cons

    Any info is appreciated

    Run away from D35 rear ends. Wranglers are fun otherwise, my buddy has one, and even with the D35 he has yet to break it, and he beats the hell out of it.

    Some had plastic valve covers, that liked to leak. Some had auto trannys built by Toyota!!! You can build a sleeper motor for them. Find a 258 AMC six cylinder, drop the crank and rods in the 4.o block, and you have a 270 six cylinder.

    Stay away from the late 80's ones with the Peugoet tranny....
    91-95 YJs have 4.10 gears factory
    Dana 30 front/Dana 35 rear...
    4.0 is a real good motor, plenty of power with the 4.10s....

    When he lookks one over make shure he specificly looks for rust. They are notorious for enhanced rusting.

    make sure to let him know that anyone caught driving a Jeep is of questionable sexual prefrence. :haha:
