yea, Ketec works good, but I try to avoid antibiotics so I won't build up a tolerance.

debated between JD, George Dickel, and the JB, but went with the JB.

Good idea. It is the first I have had in 6 years, but it was also the worst sinus infection that I remember having. The Ketec probably worked so well because I rarely take antibiotics either.

I take a nip off a Booker bottle every morning when the weathers cold. 126 proof keeps you sterile. I can't remember the last time I had any kind of cold or respiratory problem.

My grandpa always made up a concoction of 1 cup whiskey 1/4 cup lemon juice 1/4 cup honey and 2 tbs vinegar. It actually worked pretty good.......

I don't know if its an "old wives tale" or not but I've heard that if the congestion does in fact move into your throat and chest that whisky will kill the bacteria and help you get over it more quickly. :dunno:

Neat, use illness as an excuse for blatant alcoholism. I'll have to try that:doah:

My Boss: Jebus John! You smell like a frickin' distillery.
Me: Yeah, CK5 says a shot of liquor every morning before work will keep me healthy.
My Boss: Yeah, and frickin' unemployed!
    Me: Damn you CK5!!!!

Honey is the key...bees dont sneeze!

Honey is a natural antibiotic...it kills many viruses and germs..one old timer I know uses it frequently when he feels a sinus cold coming on..he puts several spoonfuls in his mouth, and squeezes it between his teeth and gums, then washes it down with whiskey or burbon..he rarely gets sick, and if he does,he recovers in a day or two..

I've been putting honey in my tea every morning, instead of drinking coffee lately, and have been putting it on my english muffins and toast instead of jam or peanut butter....usually I have a bad cold by thanksgiving, this year I have not,and I feel more energetic too...I think I'm going to keep this up all winter!..

    Now--exactly what is this 125 proof stuff called??:ears: :smile1: ..

I think I need some of that!..sounds like it not only could kill germs, you could run your truck on it in a pinch!...

Big difference between nippin and drinking. It has probably been a good ten years since I've take any antibiotics. Medicine doesn't have to come over a counter in a little white bottle.

Be your own boss, then you don't have to worry about it.

I've been buying local raw honey(good for your sinuses and your stomach) and also switched to tea about 2 months ago. I was up to about a pot of coffee a day at the office, it was doing some bad things to my system. I feel much better.

Booker's Whiskey - Wooden Box, top shelf at the liquor store. It's a Jim Beam brand. Pricey, but well worth it. I 've become accustomed to it, and anything 110 proof or less just tastes watered down to me now. I go through about 2 bottles a year.
