Here's how it looks. I'll get a pic of all the amputated parts tomorrow. I cut about 5 inches of frame, the tailgate "springs", the angle iron from the backside of the bumper, and 1.5 inches around the tailgate hinges. You can see how well it fits. Only took 2 bandaids, one crushed foot, and one metal shard in the eye.

Wow that thing cleaned up nice. It looks alot better on your rig than I think it did on mine. Glad it all worked out. Nice and tight.

I'm guessing that bolt is for a tire carrier. I am working on mine now. Tell me more.

I'm screwed. That bumper opened up about 7" from the bottom of the old hitch. But I mounted the license plate on the gas tank skid, so there's a little bit of protection.

So I'm guessing you don't need to sand blast it anymore? Looks good.

Don't let the flat Rustoleum pics at the good angle fool you. It's in really good shape, but I painted over dirt, rust and skid marks from the grinder.

Yes I do still need to clean it up. I needed to get it fitted, and that certainly took some work. I'm going to wait though until after URE so I can get the other pressing things done, and do the bumper right.
