There's a point in the life of a truck where something goes from cool to way overboard...

Whoever made that Jimmy crossed that line... :doah:

I know what you mean... I saw Fall Out Boy last week... I swear, I've never seen so much John Deere garb on so many 16-year-old city kids in my life... It was disgusting... And I thought punk rock was about doing your own thing, not the thing that someone else is doing...

The John Deere FJ-40 that was goin around a while ago was pretty cool, but that thing needs to get put out to pasture and shot. No Chevrolet deserves that.

I listen to Fall Out Boy and cry and feel good about it. :rotfl:

Try pop punk garbage, that music is far from anything punk rock.

Also I should buy it and put a pto drivin lawn mower blade on the bottom of that blazer, Then I could use it to mow my lawn. :D

All the sowhority chicks arround here wear John Deere stuff. I used to do the whole punk thing, on my own, till the cool clothes I bought at value world and goodwill were now made and sold for a crap ton in department stores. I then kinda gave up on punk rock. I remember going to a party and a guy walks up to me and says nice shirt were did ya get it??? American Eagle, Abercombie, etc.. I still have a few band shirts like Antif-flag, Goldfinger, saves the day, but the new punk is too pop for my taste.

I think we've run this topic way OFF topic...

But I'm pretty new to the whole "punk" scene... As in, I started really liking and listening to the stuff when I saw New Found Glory in April. I hardly listen to them anymore :doah: I don't dress "punk" or anything, and probably won't :haha:

Some of the stuff FOB was playing at their show wasn't like the stuff I've heard by them... I don't have any of their CD's or anything, but yeah... I'd be willing to assume (I may be right or wrong here) that they're similar to Rise Against and only made it big with the music their long-time fans think is lame...

At least that's how it is with me... I can't freaking stand "Swing Life Away." I've been listening to Rise Against for several years and it's sick enough that they even made a slow acoustic song..........

So what do you kids do at an emo concert, cry and have a group hug where any other show there'd be a proper mosh pit going on?

Emo is for the people that would be goths, but are afraid to cut themselves.

I'm saddened to see that emo and screamo crap has infiltrated the vans warp tour, which I've seen for 4 years running now...last year, good bands included atmosphere, goldfinger, flogging molly, and a lot of others, this year its atreyu, FOB, and other lesser-known-but-just-as-****ty emo/screamo bands, the my chemical romance set (only quasi-emo band I can stand) some people were almost crushed to death due to the number of stupid pre-teen dickheads that don't understand how to behave in a pit and just rush the stage, MCR had to stop playing and tell everyone to back the hell up so people stopped getting hurt. Highlight of the night was seeing dropkick murphy's (my second time seing murph's) and the saddest part - most of the people left before the headlining band played! Some of those morons didn't even know who murphs were and wouldn't stick around to find out.

And those of you that call it hardcore, stop kidding yourselves. Hardcore is a term reserved for the iron maidens of the 80's, and properly associated with metal (see death metal, thrash metal, etc). Those people would eat you alive.

Fake edit: live shows I've seen flogging molly (6x) vans tours (4), H.I.M (2x), everclear, tool, anti-flag, bad religion, less than jake, Gingerjake (2x) and a host of smaller local bands both here at ISU and at first ave/the quest in minnesota.
