Well, I think my rustbucket may be leaving me soon. My friend's dad found an 84 blazer, completely stock for what I know. It got smacked on the drivers side front, so it needs a front clip.. otherwise, the truck is spotless. He said it has some kinda factory rust treatment called Zebart, or something like that. I really love my 87, but a tub swap would be such a hassle. So, I was wondering what you guys thought. Should I go with the spotless 84 that needs a front clip, or stay with my 87 that needs a tub? I'm going to be checking out the 84 later today, so I'll probably post some more info about it.

Hmmm... a good looking truck or a rust heap... hmmmm... I'd throw the clip on the 84 myself. If it has a 305 trash that and transfer your current engine and tranny... then I think you'd have the best of bot trucks... few remaining parts you could probably part out. Just my $.02

Well, here's the scoop on the 84 K-5. It's a fully decked out silverado. Every power option, tilt column, spotless interior. Even has the console and everything! it used to have a 305. a GM crate 350 was put in around 50K ago. 700 trans, been rebuilt once. It needs a core support, hood, grille and a drivers side inner and outer fender. Can't start it right now because it has no battery.. also, the fan would eat the shroud alive. all in all, I think $1,000 is a great buy for a truck with just mild surface rust. So, anyone want an 87?[IMG] works great! just needs a body![IMG]
