    I had jury duty today.

I actually found it really interesting. I'm hesitant to say this but...I think I even enjoyed it . I never knew that the attorneys got to question the jury and then kick some people off, that was cool to watch. You got to learn all about the personal lives of a really diverse group of people. It was a personal injury case, the guy was suing state farm for 50g's, after they had given him 50g's already. I think it would have been cool if I had actually been selected to sit on the jury,

But then again...I am studying Sociology, so maybe I'm just weird like that?

Oh, and it kind of helped that I was excused from an 8am test this morning (rescheduled for 4pm on wed. :cool1: )

I was called for jury duty when I was 18; got to miss a day of high school for it. :D Even though we weren't needed that day it was still good to be a part of it and see the system in action.

I'm on the list until the end of the month. Only been called in once and didn't get pulled. I have to report again on the 22nd. We'll see how it goes.

I have served before once in the last ten years on a personal injury case, I would agree with you that it was interesting, and I did enjoy it also. But once is enough:deal: We were a pretty stingy jury:whistle:

That's interesting. In colorado if you're not selected for a jury on your first day you are excused. And in Mass (where I'm really from) you have to go in for three days straight, and if your not picked, then you're excused.

We serve for three months at a time. I'm sure it is do to population. But, I have been on since the first of the year and there has only been one case that has gone to trial. On a side note, my dad is serving now also:pimp:

I guess I should call ad see if there's a warrant out for me now ...

I got called in 1998, but lucky me I was a register Pennsylvania resident. Kinda voided my serving in New York...

If they saw half the stuff you've said on here RJ they'd realize you are not staible and they are in danger just being around you. I got summoned for jury duty in my hometown once but was excused because I'm a college student.:D

My mom got picked for Jury Duty, but she was mad cause she had to step out for some of the good cases, cause I was the arresting officer. lol.

We serve Jury Summons just like any other court paper here, we get a big list with bout 300 names on it, an come to your house an personally deliver it.
