    I got a 1966 chevy C60 today, but I don't know much about it except that it's BIG. It's got a 327, 4-speed and a 2-speed rear axle. It's a flat bed with a PTO winch and it's wheelbase is 133".

Does anybody know of any websites where I can find out more about it?

Does anybody know how much a truck like this in good running condition might be worth?

I'm having a problem finding someone to insure it for a reasonable cost, maybe I'll put a 1/2 ton chevy cab on it and call it that. Maybe I'll put a tent on the flatbed and call it an RV. With a GVW of 19,500 lbs, it will haul a lot of beer to a campsite!

4WD would be cool, but the front diff alone would cost more than the truck.

They didn't seem to have a whole lot for this truck, but they did have more than everywhere else. Here's some pics:

thats a sweet truck... have you tried getting historic tags on it?
they normally limit the number of miles you can put on it in a year, but i doubt that'll be your daily driver...

Thanks, the pics don't really do it justice. It's BIG. I can get collector plates on it here in Colorado, I think. I don't know if they will issue them to a 2-ton. It's definately old enough.

Now I'm trying to figure out a way to earn a couple hundred dollars a month with it, to pay for it's insurance and upkeep. Anybody have any suggestions?

That would be very cool... I have thought about making it 4wd, too. Boyce has all the parts, but they aren't cheap. I wonder if they will accept internal organs as payment.

I think you could get tags on it. My dad has collector tags on a 51? Chevy dump truck. (Also in Colorado). As far as web-sites go, have you tried 67-72chevytrucks.com?

Thats awesome. I could do some awesome crap with that. [IMG] I would put one of those rollers on the back of it like a flatbed tow truck make myself some very sturded tow hook/mounts on the frame of my k5 and just pull the thing up with the winch. D@^^N what a tow rig.
My dad used to run a coop spraying company when I was little, He had a 1983 GMC BIGWHEELS. Talk about BIG!!! We got pictures I will have to scan them onto the pc sometime.

Thanks for all the compliments, but I've decided to sell it. I just don't really NEED it and can't afford the insurance. I'm asking $1500, I've got it listed in the blazers for sale forum.
