Well, I went with the local club to Walden, CO. There was a ton of snow up there. I would guess about 3 feet or so. I thought it was going to be a great day because 1/4 mile into the trail I had to pull a Jeep Cherokee, Ford 1 ton and 18 ft. flatbed trailer throught the snow. And they were all strapped together:haha:. The jeep was trying to pull the ford/ flatbed trailer out of the snow, but couldn't do it.:D Well after getting those guys going again, I was having some fun, enjoying life and all.........................I was doing fine until I broke through the surface and had to take a strap (from a J**P, no less).

Well that was all fine and dandy, until the trail took a hard left, and as hard as I tried, the Blazer wanted to continue straight. All the while I was still strapped to the J**P. Well wouldn't you know it.................WHAM, I got pulled into a tree. Smashed in the fender, bumper and core support. It was a bummer because I could not do anything to stop the Jeep from pulling me into the tree.

Oh well, that is part of the attraction.

Then my fan caught my upper radiator hose and split it in two. Thank God for duct tape, a mountain dew bottle and a couple of hose clamps.

    Here are some pics. Enjoy.[IMG]

Yet another reason that it's a good idea for everyone on the trail to have a CB. ;) You could have stayed in communication with the Jeep driver if you were both radio equipped.

Um:thinking: , Thats right next to Rabbit Ears pass where I snowmobile.
They usually have some deep snow. 4 wheelin there wouldn't be my 1st choice.
Glad you had fun though and we didn't need to call in search and rescue :D .

I always have a set of cobra hand held radios on board just to use in a case like this. Cheep communication.

I don't think that would have helped. I was honking and yelling, but he kept the right foot planted. I was only 20 feet behind him. It really wasn't his fault though. He felt pretty bad. I told him "No Worries."

I was quite surprised that the repair made it the 120 miles back home. The temp hovered around 180*.
