Cool, when you get the AGR box installed let us all know how much it leaks, I hope you don't have any problems because the people that work for AGR are complete idiots!!!

On the AGR company, one of the guys I deal with here in Tulsa is real good friends with the owner of AGR.

AGR has had alot of problems with dependable employees over the last year. I just got one of the first Gen 2 Rock Rams and it works great!

I was told that they got rid of the employees that were causing the problems. I was also told that if there was a problem with my AGR setup, that they would come up here and re-install a new one for free.

Everything seems good so far. I'll keep you guys informed if I have any problems.

Gen 2 has a beefier Hydrolic cylinder. When running the Gen 1 on Fullsizes, I was told that there were alot of problems with the cylinder blowing seals and leaking.

The Gen 2 was built specifically for the Fullsizes! Weighs about twice as much.

One of the guys at Ryno 4WD here in Tulsa, is running the Gen 1, he said mine a much stronger setup. He is so convinced, he's upgrading to the Gen 2.

Here are a couple of pics of the new cylinder, after the install. That's a Rock Rod in front of it! The Gen 2 cylinder makes it the Rock Rod look little guy! LOL

When I installed my cross over steering I found out that Shawn had a new AGR box for a Blazer so I bought it from him. The reason he had it was because he ordered one for his wifes Typhone and AGR sent him the wrong box. So I took the pretty box and hooked it up, right out of the box it leaks from the end cap/housing area, I started asking around and the 3 or 4 people that I asked said they had problems with theirs as well. I have Shawn call up AGR for me (reciept in his name and didn't want to confuse them) to send out a repair kit, said they would the next day. Pain in the ass but OK, I will fix it, well a week goes by still nothing, Shawn calls again and they say "SORRY, I must have forgotten" I will send out ASP, another week goes by and I call them and they say "SORRY I must have dropped the ball on that" I will send out ASP, still nothing I call two more times and I get "Sorry I must have dropped the ball on that" and still no repair kit to date. AGR didn't know that I own a large off-road web site and that I can dog their arse all I want in front of millions of viewers, "I guess they dropped the ball on that one"

I emailed Matt from westtexasoffroad.com and told him about it and he sent me a repair kit for free, I got it about 6 weeks ago, he didn't even have to do it, I never bought anything from him, great service. Matt sells a hydro assist kit for 450.00 using your own box, I will prolly get his setup I have heard that it rocks and I know the service will be great.

Nice to know that they sent that crap out so customers could test it for them.

I kinda went through the same crap as Steve did. Except they sent me the AGR kit for my 89' with O-ring fitting Pump and flare fitting Box. Retards.

Took them forever to send me the part to make it right too and I was on a tight time frame too.

    Then my ram leaked
took them forever to fix that and send it back.

then my box was running super hot, I mean, burn your hand off hot and yes I bled for hours.

then couldn't take it no more and sent the box back for another. Now, that box runs cool and everything is finally "all good" I hope.
    That's the long story short.
All in all, I took out and installed the pump 3 times. The box twice and the ram twice and I changed the small PS cooler to a large tranny cooler and now run a remote reservoir for the pump to make sure things stay cool. I would've loved to see AGR fly out to my house and do all that for me....I doubt they would've.

Your ram looks very similar to mine. When did they come out with this new Gen 2? I bought my Ram kit sometime in March 01' I think. Here is my ram:

Oh wait, forgot to mention that the new box they sent me (the one that replaced the hot box) leaked after I put it in. Had to fix that!

Oh, and I had to call numerous times to remind them to send me out the fitting piece to convert the O-ring fitting pump to make it a Flare fitting. I mean, same thing they told Steve,.."oh, we forgot"

and guess how long it took them to send me the new box after I requested........6 WEEKS!!!!!!! Ask Shawn...he knows.
