picked up a 36 inch racing slick for 5 bucks! really clean and really wide,

    /forums/images/graemlins/woot.gif

I am going to save it for a game room or back porch and have a piece of glass cut for it, maybe a coffee table /forums/images/graemlins/peace.gif

is this red neck or way to cool? I am thinking about a black contemporary leather sofa, with the chrome legs and trim,

taking a couple of blown big blocks, fully dressed in chrome with glass on them for end tables, and the tire with glass for a coffee table,

maybe have a couple of my cranks turned, or polish a couple cams and make lamps out of them /forums/images/graemlins/thinking.gif

    /forums/images/graemlins/peace.gif

then all I need to do is put bags on a lazy boy, hook up my projector and watch races all weekend /forums/images/graemlins/deal.gif

I got bored one summer and made a coffee table out of a wore out Triumph 250 cycle engine-polished it, painted it and put a plexi top on it. Ex-wife #1 trashed it when we moved to Ft. Sill-stupid beech

I think it would be cool to ethier hang it from the mirror of you truck or wear it as a neckless /forums/images/graemlins/histerical.gif
you could also use it as a planter or roll down a hill in it. /forums/images/graemlins/peace.gif

I already haver the big blocks? I ment blown as in dead, not blown as in I have alot of money and bad ass motors falling from the sky /forums/images/graemlins/rotfl.gif

the two motors I am refering too have both thrown a rod, another has trashed internals and a broke cam shaft /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif

just some cheap freeze plugs, 20 daller valver covers, old intakes, pullies brackets ect.

I have it all so the cost should just be in the quality of the galss and how much to do it.

it shure is fun having it in the back of my truck. I have had a million questions! /forums/images/graemlins/rotfl.gif

I got the idea when I went to the nationals at firebird a few months back, but the tires were 50.00 and up, and they were not this clean /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

tim would lie it if it were a 42" swamper though /forums/images/graemlins/rotfl.gif

I guess my post got deleted.

I thought it was a cool idea, I just can't believe race teams and the like actually SELL these old tires when otherwise they'd have to PAY to scrap them. /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

I made this about a year ago. Stripped it down, painted it, trimmed it out and added a piece of glass.

If you have a michaels craft center near you, you can get table glass already cut in various shapes. I picked up a slick from a CART team at mid ohio sports car course, and made a table out of it too.

I also got some skid plates from Tony Kanaan's 2001 CART car on my wall as well. teams will usually give stuff away if ya ask nice.
