I wish....... /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif Anyone here collect coins? I just quarter a quarter from 1930 !! it is pure silver.
I am trying to find out if I just made some money /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gifI just found a 1930 standing quarter, it is called that because it is the only year it was minted, it has lady liberty standing with her torch. only thing is the date is actually worn off, but it was only made in 1930. the letter of place of mint is a "M".
any info from ya'll?????? i got a # off the web and called some bigshot place in N.Y. and they said
" since it isnt new condition its probably worth .15 cents"
I said " listen lady, I know it's at least worth .25 cents, its still a quarter"
    what a dumb@$$ /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Did a search on ebay for standing quarter - quite a few different years....?

    There is a 1930 also.

I would do a comparison there first.

I have a good coin collection. Most of it is from my Grand Parents but I am collecting the state quarters. Don't know if they will ever be worth anything since they produce so many. Speaking of that I need more P mint - I'll repost that thread.

I've got a few old pennies - 1894 and thereabouts.
    Dime from 1910.
    I'm sure altogether they're worth $5 but I think they're cool.

I have a couple million dollar deutchmarks. My grandmother brought them back from Germany during WWII. I found a baggie in her stuff when she passed away and I thought I was righ, I had over 60 million Deutchmarks in my hands. I asked a friend who was German and she said I could probably buy a loaf of bread. Oh well, at least they are cool looking. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

If that 1889 Dolllar Has a CC mint mark you are a rich$$ man. They are very rare.

Ugly Chev... The standing liberty Quarter was made from 1916 to 1930. Some are worth a lot of money But if yours is as worn as you say it is not worth much more than 5.00. The coins that are worth the most are in very good condition and still shiny with all the dates and letters showing no wear in like new condition.
