There's one for sale in Raleigh, NC. It's an 89. I would buy it, but I can't afford it. It's $2800. And it's SRW too. So sweet, with the 4-speed. Claims it needs engine work though. Who cares? All I want is the front end and the clutch parts.

They are out there, you just have to keep a close eye out. Where I am, I spot them for sale once in a while, but they are gone as soon as they appear.

Besides mine, I see about 4-5 of them driving around my neck of the woods regularly.

I bought mine for $1200 but she still needs lots of body work. I think most of these were bought by farmers, ranchers, work crews, etc, and beat the snot out of them daily. I haven't seen a good one that hasen't been restored.

Re: just how rare are 1 ton crew cab 4x4\'s?

A friend of mine, now moved away, used to have an '84 K3500 GMC crew cab SRW.

I found another crew cab SRW, either an '85 or '86, here in town, but I can't find the truck anymore. I did see the license plate and its registered in my county, so it's around here somewhere. I think it may be a farmers truck. It was straight and in immaculate condition. Even had a fixed yoke on the 205 also.

These are the only two K30 crew cabs I have ever seen in my town.

    I still want a '91 V30 crew cab SRW, Silverado, loaded, with the 454, 4L80E, 205, D60, 14FF. /forums/images/icons/cool.gif

keep an eye for our state auctions. NY uses 1 ton crew cab single wheels for highway maintenance trucks. High milage but usually cheap($2000) a friend of mine bought one 2 years ago. 1989 with a 454. only thing is they are a nasty bright yellow!!
