Is there a difference between a pipe bender and a tubing bender? Seems like they'd both be a hydraulic jack with a bracket around it.

Isn't pipe more for exhaust work and such? Tubing benders would be more for stuctural peices like roll cages. Since tubes are thicker materials I would say the tubing bender would be stronger.

    It's actually not.
Pipe is the thick plumbing pipe, and the tube bender does both exhaust and roll cages just fine.
The HYD pipe bender is needed for the thickness of those tubes.
I have the exact same one pictured here and I use it to bend tube and pipe.
The difference between them is sizing:
The dye on the tube bender is for O.D. and the pipe bender sizing is in I.D. So when you order the tubes, you usually ask for O.D. size and when you go to use the pipe bender you have to guestimate the size dye you will need.

So if you thought about the size of tube and selected the correct die, you could actually use one of these [IMG] to bend tubing?

We used one of those to do a roll cage in a buddies Z-28. But now we have a tubing bender. It really does make alot of difference.
