Well I decided that I didn't want to work for the big company anymore, or work directely under an asshole. Life is to short to put up with that ****.

The good thing is that I already have a job doing what I am doing locally and will not have to travel more than an hour. I get a company truck and gas and expense cards.

Its amazing the relief felt after making a decision like this.

So if you're looking to have something built commercially by a real local Pensacola contractor(not a Hurricane Ivan Blood Sucker), then call me!!!!!!!!!!!

Turning in notice is great when you don't like what you are doing. Quite a relief.

CONGRATS! Glad to hear you're making a change for the better! Hopefully, now you'll have more time at home to play with the family. ;)

Good for you, Rob. Like you said, life is too short to waste any energy on things that bring you down. I have been where you're at a couple of times in my life, and job-related unhappiness impacts your entire life.

Keep us posted as to how things work out!!!!:D

Why to go. Takes courage to take the first step away from familiar things.

I've burned a couple of bridges and it felt GOOD!

It takes some guts, but once you've done it you feel better.
Congrats, and good luck in your new job.
