    Hey!
I'm looking to replace my '79 K-5 tub w/ a '74 C-10 cab & was wondering if the removeable hump in the K-5 can be retrofitted into the C-10 to avoid a body lift for transfer case clearence.
    Thanks!

The humps will bolt right in, in place of each other. Some later cabs have nonremovable humps, but as long as your are the bolt-in kind then yes this will work.

The hump in my 74 C20 is not bolt in,the floor is one piece.

If you have a welder and fab skills, anything can be retrofitted /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

My cab is a 1973 c20. It originally was auto and had the short hump.
The hump I am using is the tall one from my old 76 k10 with 465.
I have never heard of an early truck having the one piece hump. I thought the years was like 82 oe 83 when they started doing it like that, but not sure.

My '86 is "fixed" but the hump is really tack welded in place.

My C20 had an auto also. The hump isnt very tall at all.Iv got a 2"body lift and the t case dropped 1.5" and my t case is maybe a 1/4" from the floor.

Im just glad I already had the body lift on the K5 already because I had not thought about floor clearance issues /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
