Well I have an 81 Ski-Doo Blizzard with a 503 in it. Baisically the points close up on it. A guy at work was saying something about a pin on the crank, and if it wears down the points will keep closing up.

I havent really touched it at all, just need some sort of basic info to know what im looking for.

hmm..old motor. never worked on a skidoo myslef but should be simmilar. never seens oints on a 2 storke, magneto and igntion coil. typically on the (if your sitting on it) left side is the ignition side. is its not htere then its on the other. (should be on the oppostie side of the clutch) most ive seens turn a magneto directly off the cranks. i imaginge the contact could be work. pull the cover off and see what you can see. you will usually need a special puller to pull the magneto itself.
