    Hey dudes and dudetts,
Does anyone know if a 4" thick K&N filter has any advantages over the 2" thick one???
My current K&N is 2" and has a few dents/holes/ters in the screen so will be replacing it soon and thinking of getting the 4" this time instead...........

I have an '89 with the 350 motor. I used to have a 4in on it but wanted more air, so I installed a 5 1/2in and noticed a slight increase in the power. You have to make your own stem, and cut it just right so it doesn't hit the hood. If you want the 5 1/2incher, order the one for the 454fi.

FYI, if you do decide to go with a new filtercharger check out accessories for sale. i am selling a 5" tall element that is 14" wide with a chrome housing for $50. came off my Q-jet. i am going to a snorkel setup, and needed to return to the original aircleaner box.
