I went to the Rocky Mountain Raceway for the first time last Friday. They had the BigO streat leagal series where you could race your own car or truck. Anyway a 1976 K10 Pickup took a few runs and it only ran a 24.4 second 1/4 mile. I also have a 76 K10 and my wife was laughing her head off at what a piece of junk I had. Unfortunately I didn't have my truck there to race and time. I'm sure I could have beat it. It looked like a turtle. They gave the truck a 1/2 way head start down the strip and a Camaro still beat it!

What are some 1/4 mile times for close to stock Blazers/Trucks with 350's in them. I need to prove that that 24.4 time was a fluke so she will quit bugging me about it.

    Thanks.

My dads 2000 2WD Chevy HD 3/4 ton with the 350 4:10 gears 245/75R16 tires and the 4l80-E seems too do about 10-11 0-60 and I'm not sure about quarter mile but it is one fast truck and gets off the line better than any other truck I've ever ridden in!!

for a stock 4x4 old school like a 73-78 k5 or blazer if running good and right gears for the tires even though the motor is still stock you should run 18-20 sec. now this is like i said stock and 4x4 which you are talking a 6800 lb. box not too aerodynamic (sp?)

My "completely" stock '87 K-5 with 33x12.50s and 3.73s in the rear will 0-60 in 9.5 seconds. Never timed quarter mile though.

Pureinsanity 1 was run on a vericom onboard performance computer. I launched like my grandmother, and shifted out at 5500 rpm. It turned a 17.48 @ 85.?MPH. Not very impressive, but not bad for a Jeep Cherokee full size with 17 inches of lift and 40" Hawgs.[IMG] After a few weeks I learned how to launch it and shifted at 7200 rpm. I never got a chance to run the vericom again, but I'll say it was like an E-ticket ride at Disney. I would say my best guess was probably high 14's in the quarter. Lets put it this way it was undefeated street racing every Mustang i could find. And yes they were 5.0s. [IMG]

A good friend of mine ran a 16.5 in his '84 Chevy 4x4 stepside. It has a dynoed 365 horse roller 350, holley carb, headers, TH350, 3.73 gears, and 33" sport kings. Just to give you a little perspective. Although like all motor sports, it really depends on the driver. [IMG]
