Kind of wondered Mike because my 77 Crewcab has 16.5's and wasn't sure if they were stock rims. I was hoping to find stock 16.5's in a 9.75 width for my 15/39.5 Swampers to save some cash. Plus I would imagine that the stock rims would be able to handle the weight a K30 should carry. Do you think a 8.25" to be to narrow for the 15" width? I think that's what I have.
    Thanks.

8.25" I htink would be a little narrow for a 15, although my friend ran 14.50's on 7's for about 5 months with no problems...I personally am running 10's with my 15.50's, i dont think I would go any narrower...

Not sure if they made 9.75" width in stock rim....??....

For some reason (that I've never figured out) many 16.5 inch wheels come in a 9.75 inch width, instead of a 10 inch width.

My 85 K3500 had 16" rims on it, My 79 C30 has 16's too. My 75 G30 has 16.5 I am unsure of the width.

I believe that 16" wheels became pretty standard on the 3/4 and 1 ton trucks somewhere around the early to mid 80's, or at least all of the ones from that time on I have seen with factory looking wheels were all 16's. I grew up in a farming community with tons of mid to late 70's Chevy 3/4 tons and the majority of those had the 16.5's, and most seemed (just by looks) to be around 7"-8" wide.
