k5 =3/4 ton bumber dimensions?

    im going to be buying a k5 very soon, i own a 73 3/4 ton at the moment, its going to be a few months before i have enough to perchase a k5, ok heres my question i want to start building front/ rear bumpers and protection for my k5 i have the metal, welder and sheetmetal shop(my dads) could i use my 73 3/4 for dimensions and mounting? will everything fit up and be the same? i dont wanna wait 3 months to start working on it, ive waited a yr as it is.

    Depends on what year the K5 is.

    Since you said you have a '73 K20, the frame horns at the fronts are the same on all the trucks from '73-'80.

    If you are getting a K5 that is an '81 or newer, the front frame horns are way different than your '73 K20.

    ok i plan on geting a 73-75 k, is the rear also the same?

    Ok, the front frame horns are identical on all the '73-'80 trucks.

    The rear frame horns on Blazers and Subs are very different than the regular truck horns.

    The Blazers and Subs rear horns go and point in a downward position and both use different bumper brackets than the regular trucks do. Regular trucks (K10, 20, 30, etc.) all have the rear horns going straight out the back, no bends or curves downward.

    ok thanks, ill practice on a front bumper, see how it turns out.
