My stepson found - and bought for ME - a Hot Wheels Chevy K5 BLAZER !!!! He found it at Toys-R-Us. He's been on a Hot Wheels collecting binge recently, so he's been scoping all the toy shops for collector items. He found it Thursday. It even has a grille guard and light bar on the top!! The tires look like 38" or 44" mudders! I think I'll paint it dark blue like my '87! This is really cool! Now all I need to do is look for a Revelle 1/25 scale model to put together!

This makes up for him waking me up slamming the front door at 1:45 the other morning!

My kids have all sorts of blazer hot wheels (well, they have some). I've never seen a blazer model tho. Lots of broncos but no blazers. Maybe an official type of letter from Colorado K5 would get the ball rolling huh? HINT HINT HINT!

That jeep thing? Yah I understand it....... Like my Blazer? http://community.webshots.com/user/blazerk5

That was nice of him to think of you! Did it make you feel like a 5 year old boy with a cowlick again? Wanna play Red Rover?

I just recieved my second Blazer 1:24 scale model. This one is called the "Mad Mudder" and is considered a truck but is actually a blazer body with no top. The first one I built is called "Sheriff's Blazer" and is a complete blazer. Both have the same body, frame, interior and other things. The difference between the 2 is that the "Mad Mudder" has a lift and Grownd Hawgs on it. The "Sheriff's Blazer" sits pretty much stock with like 33's or something. I now plan on combining the two and making one Blazer with top and the larger tires. And of course it's gonna be painted just like mine. I guess some would say it's a kids toy why are you playing with it? Well, I guess i'm still a kid at heart. Besides, how am I supposed to teach my kids to play if I don't practice right?

I have all brothers. Most of my time was spent building forts, exploring water sewer pipes, playing by/in the stream and crazy skateboard stunts(no fear back then!) I will confess that when I needed a break from keeping up with the boys, I would seek escapism through my Barbies. (condo and jet included)[IMG] We did have a cool, tight-knit neighborhood full of kids. Lots of Mother May I, Hide and Seek(throughout all the streets) and we had awesome forts and secret clubs. I miss that. I do have a 6 y.o. son so that gives me a chance to regress. I'm usually the only Mom at the playground ON the swings with the kids![IMG]

I may be getting old but I refuse to grow up! I'm always doing stuff with my boys. We have giant football games at the school and at night I play DITCH, kind of like team hide and seek. We have a neighborhood group thats go out after 10 pm and harrasses the kids for being outside without supervision. So when they hassle the kids I come out from hiding and say it's ok, they're with me! And also it keeps the teenagers from picking on the little guys, we have a history of kids getting beat up by young punks. Besides, it's FUN!!!

I saw a '69 K5 Blazer hot wheels car today. It had a yellow boat attached to the top of the thing.

Can you tell me who's the manufacturer of the Blazer models? I would be interested in those as well. However, I could only build 1/2 of it. This way it would match my K5's current condition.
