I'd like to pick your brains for possible fixes. I have an 87 Blazer, EFI, 350, and 350 Trans. The engine runs smooth and strong except for when I am at a stop with it in gear. It will then slowly start to drop RPM's until it finally croaks. This is with the engine fully warmed up.
Does it sound like a vacuum problem or somthing else?
If so, what is the best way you've found to locate the leak?

I had a similar problem on a FI truck I used to own- it ended up being a broken vacuum line on an air-flow sensor. Other things to consider would be plugged/dirty injectors or a faulty oxygen sensor..............

It could very well be a vac leak. To test, get a can of starting fluid and have a fire ex. close. Went the motor is cool, start it up and just keep it running. Spray a LIGHT mist around the carb and hoses making sure to stay away from the exhaust manifold or other sources of ignition. If the motor increases in RPM than check there. BE CAREFUL!
Another possibility is a throttle position switch. I switch my 87 to a carb. and can't give you the test proceedure but i'm sure someone could. Good luck.
