I am looking for a place to get both of my rear-end gears changed. I have all stock(with lift) 1991 and want to go from 3.42 to 4.10 grears. Where is a good and safe shop in this area to send my daily driver? that won't cost me a ton? If you know a good shop or some shade tree mech. that want to make some cash let me know names, numbers, and a guess on the price. One main thing is that i have no other car, thus this has to be a weekend or oneday job.

    THanks

I know a number of people who go to Nail's Automotive here in Wichita. My friend Klunky goes there all the time and knows a bunch of people that work there. His name is '73K5. Talk to him and see what he says. He might hook you up good. Later

Stay away from Chux Trucks for drivetrain work. They are O.K. for suspension , but they arent to go on precision drive train work. Try either Inland Truck or Precision Built. Both are in down town KC. Good Luck

didn't know about those guys. i will keep their names handy when i do need some work done. i work real close to those places down at the Star @18th and McGee. the only thing i've had done at chux was some shock work, although they do seem to do a heckuva lot of lift work. also if you are downtown and you're thirsty you might stop in "The Pub" which is in the middle of the block between 17th and 18th on McGee. thursdays they have the PBR and shot of Jim Beam specials going on. and they also have 2 or 3 bands playing every week.
