Any of you AZ guys got a lead on a rust free VW Karman Ghia? My friend is looking for something to restore, so it can be completely gutted, he really just want a rust free project. Thanks.

No dice . You may want to look online in the Yellow Pages for some VW shops out west and see what they have , some shops have some cars that were defaulted on for sale /forums/images/graemlins/k5.gif

I stopped in a local vw place that deals with alot of vw's and rails. They had a board up that isted at least 5 or 6 rust free ones, I will try to swing by on my lunch..

even if you had to pay 500.00 to 1500 to ship it it stil would be worth it in my opinion /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif My friend sold his last month..purdy porshe red

Don't know if it's to far for you but Karl's Custom VW used to always have a bunch of vehicles for sale posted around the counter. They're around 42nd st. and Indian School.

I got a lead on a completely original one that's been sittin' in the garage for a looooonnngg time.

It belongs to a "co-worker" of mine.....

    Here's the scoop:
    1972 Karman Ghia
    "auto stick"
    all orig
    no rust at all
    1600 motor
    trans has a leak
    interior is clean
ran when parked - has been sitting in garage for 10 years.

    $4k as is.....
