Anyone been up there? How is it? It's ranked a 7. Could a 85 K5 with a 5.5 BDS susp. lift, 33x12.50x15 BFG's, and a very tired 305 with a driver with experience survive?

Drove my K5 over it around '94 or so. At the time it had a 2.5 inch lift, 35 inch BFG Muds and open diffs at both ends. Had to take the bypass around the chute, it doesn't look like anything bigger than a CJ can get through there without some unintended body mods. [IMG] Even they were having a very tough time clearing the side rocks.

I was told by our trip leader that we were running it backwards, as we started on a long, steep climb over very loose rocks. He said most folks start at the other end and come down that stretch.

I'm not sure when we are going this summer possibly in May, so far it a 87' K5 (Chewy) and possibly a Ford (if it can make it).
I want to take her up atleast one more time before I take her apart.
Do you live in Ft. Collins?
