    am i a fool or what..but i tryed getting those things out..i got all the screws out and crap...but i must have been there an hour trying to get those things to come out and they will just not budge..they move aruond and everything they just will not manuver out of there!!

    Did you take the vent flap out?

    I presume you mean the kicker panels under the dash...

    no...but i didnt see any screws for them or anything so i asumed they were part of them or something..but if not is thats whats holding thme in still?

    dude,
    there are screws hid up higher on them you really have to get down and crank your head to see. if by chance you have got them, then its just a matter of cranking,prying, and twisting. btw, they are a bitch to reinstall also, especially the drivers side...and the drivers side is the worst to get out also. /forums/images/icons/tongue.gif /forums/images/icons/crazy.gif /forums/images/icons/frown.gif good luck

    On my '73 (bastard year), the flaps go through the kicker panel and through the sheet metal. So YES these do hold (atleast on mine) the Kicker panels in.

    I think the next poster (I forget who) is right. There is another screw in there near the flap... somewhere.

    yea i see lol..yea i got all the screws way up around over the top of the vent..and YEA the drivers is worst..i just got the pass. out...but the drivers side...the emergency brake is in the way...my dad just had to pull the hell out of them and it came out...now i gatta get the other side..but i wont be re-installing them..:) i sold them so..lol hell if it was me and i didnt have them..knowing this id just leave it /forums/images/icons/tongue.gif

    well the vent just came right out with the panal when i pulled the pass. side out so..
