I'm going to start collecting knives again.

I found a bunch on ebay, and some "lots" on ebay.

Some cost 5 bucks, but shipping is 12.50 or so. Is there any cheaper way to ship them, or do I HAVE to pay that much from ebay?

You have to pay the amount of shipping the seller has listed.

Does the shipping seem high? Why is shipping so high sometimes?

Because when an item sells, the seller gets charged a "final value fee" from ebay. The final value fee is based on a percentage of the selling price. So, they will sell items real cheap so the selling fees are less and then inflate the shipping cost because ebay doesn't get any percentage of shipping costs, this way the seller makes more money.

You'll be wasting your money on crap knives. I'd much rather save up and buy 1 nice knife than spend $20 on 4 or 5 crappy knives. They're not worth having.
