I was just wondering what the differences are between these SHORT BLOCK assemblies? SDPC has the L31 4-bolt main that I was thinking of using for a build up that would include Vortec heads, TBI intake for Vortec and a few other goodies...So will the L31 block work (are the holes and such on the L31 the same as on the L05?)Thanks for you input gang...

This may or may not help, but, the LO5 is the light duty emissions version of the 350 TBI (ie what would've come in a 1/2 ton or light 3/4 ton). Forget what the L31 is, I suspect a 4 barrel motor (the HD emissions 350 TBI is the L19).
