I was thinking /forums/images/graemlins/thinking.gif of a pre-BB03 test run in Moab.
Blake and Tony will be there. Might be a little hot but WTHell?

    ....Penrose?....Closer....

I'm already not looking forward to driving to Moab, no need to drive all the way to Montrose within 1 month of Moab.

I was talking with STORMTROOPER, about the crawling course in Kremmling. He knows the guy who runs that property. That would be a great warmup fpr BB03. I ain't locked yet, and my 3:73s wouldn't help either, so Moab is out this year, but I'd love to do Kremmling, just to try it out. (Plus, if I break something, I can probably convince the wife that upgrades are necessary). Just a suggestion.

There are plenty of great places to explore and wheel in Moab that are tame enough that a locker isn't required. In fact, one year we actually took an unlocked YJ up through Poison Spider, and I bet you could probably make it as well. You might have a harder time if we were to run the trail back out through Spike, but if we were to turn and go back out the same way, you'd have no problems. I even believe that you could probably run behind the rocks without a locker. The real tough parts are all downhill.

If you can do the course in Kremmling, you can do Moab for sure! I did Moab with 38.5's, open 10 bolts and never broke once. It's good to have a buddy with a winch though /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif.
Still have not found the time to call Mike in Kremmling yet. TOO DAM BUSY! /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif

Well, lemme know when you holler at Mike. I'd definitely like to try Kremmling before I drive all the way to Moab. The Violator is not fun to drive over long distances. Hopefully, I'll have a 3/4 ton Burb as my tow rig by next year. Ran Twin Cone in a hailstorm (three inches of hail) this weekend. VERY interesting. But fun and exciting. My tummy was tingly...

Last weekend's rain played hell on Slaughterhouse Gulch. The trail is totally different! Tried running it backwards and just barely made it. Water eroded the trail and exposed boulders and roots one and two feet high, lots of new ledges and drops! BIGASS holes on the two big hills, pretty challenging on the open diff rig. Probably going back sometime this weekend. Anbybody up?
