EXACTLY how hard is it to replace a timing tab? I was just informed i need a new one, it has to be done tonight, and i cannot get into the CAINTMAKIT! Racing garage until 6pm and the Black Bear cannot be there in the morning.

Time issues? What all has to come off? I have Power Steering so i KNOW that will get in the way...

    help/comments/suggestions/advice/flames all apprecaited!

Are we talking about the tab that bolts to the timing cover bolts and hangs over the damper?

why do you need it? just use the air puff from #1 or a screwdriver to find tdc. if your getting it exact then put a glass of water and turn the dist. until it quits shaking.

    hope it helps

    the secret is:

She likes it. She hangs out with the CAINTMAKIT! WCD guys, she is just used to us.

We were all out drinking one night, got to the bar at 6pm and closed the place out. we all drove our cars, only car that could get us all home was a '01 Chevy 2500 HD that belongs to my buddy tony.

As anyone who has ever seen Rita in person knows, she can't see over the hood of trucks. So she has 4 drunk guys hanging out of windows, 2 of them puking, getting everyone home and safe in a truck that is 2x bigger than her Lancer and she cannot see over the steering wheel...

She is the Den Mother. "her boyz" as she calls us are just training for when she gives birth to the spawn of satan (my kids)

    Back on topic:

What all is involved with this? i am at work and can't take a look at my truck right now /forums/images/icons/frown.gif

p.s. all you guys are dirty old men! Of all the pics of our Rig in my gallery, Rita's pic has the most views.

To pass the CA smog inspection you need it so the smog tester can check timing /forums/images/icons/frown.gif
