Does anyone know what you can fit on a stock chevy rally wheel? I've seen some k5's and trucks running around with 33x12.50's on what appears to be stock wheels. Is that possible or is there another wheel size available?

The widest tire you could fit on a 8" wide rim is most likely a 12.50!

I agree. I had some 35 x 15 x 15 Ground Hawgs on the stock 15 x 8 ralleys once. It made the tire taller and wore it out in the middle of the treads. Looked goofy, too.

I was at a car show on Sunday and one of the trucks there had 44 inch Gumbo Mudders on 7 inch rims!!! It was really bad, but he was driving it like that. It was wearing the center down really bad. I'd say 12.50 max on an 8 inch wide rim for good wear patterns.

I'd agree with the other guys that 12.50 on an 8" is about the limit.....if you are crazy about Rally wheels and want a 10" version, Stockton Wheel can hook you up for $720 a set....that's unpainted and with all the shop gunk still on 'em.....I have a set of 6....I run 33" AT's on 8" for everyday and long highway trips....33" BFG Muds on 10" for play, and then I plan on 33/14 SSR's for the rear for when I Really play.....Hell, it's only money....JD

I'm at 10th and Plum....10 miles from nowhere, and Plum out in the sticks....Stuck?...Hell no..I still got some gas left..

FYI the last iteration of the ORD green Jimmy ran 37x12.5x15s on 15x7 OEM aluminum wheels. I agree, 12.5" is as wide as I would go with an 8" wide rim. While we're on the topic, has anyone ever ran a 38x15x15 Swamper TSL on a 15x10 wheel?

Running a 12.50" tire on an 8" rim should not cause any problems at all. One thing to keep in mind is that the taller the tire is, the more variance you can get away with between the width of the rim and tire. The reason is that there is more (taller) sidewall to flex so the transition from the width of the tread to the width of the rim is less severe the taller the tire is.
On another note, I ran 32x11.50 tires on the stock 15x7 rims for several years and never had any problems.

My friends run both 38.5x15x15s on 15x10 wheels and 44x18x15 tires on 15x12 wheels. No problems.

I ran 35x12.50R15s on rally wheels too.

Interco doesn't list a 38x15-15 TSL. They do list 38x12.50-15s and 16/38.5-15s, the recommended rim for both is a 15 x10.

I never said that they were TSLs. My the 38s above are 4 Wheel RVTs, and the 44s are Gumbo Monster Mudders.
