The wife and I had two couples over lastnight for a BBQ, and that led to pictanery and cards... one of my bright ideas, why go upstairs and get an opener when I have channel locks sitting on my desk... yeah they thought it was cool tell the guy went to take a drink and I had chipped off the top of the bottle. Haha he didn't seem to mind...

now its time to pick up all those bottle caps... it looks like a bomb went off in my basement, and some how my dining room table made it into my basement with playing cards stuck to it...

see I make sure to ALWAYS check the top when I open a bottle. I haven't used a bottle opener in a long time. Just find the corner of a workbench or toolbox, bam, check the top, good to go.

    beer openers...

I usually buy quarts of beer now,its cheaper, and the glass bottles have screw on caps, leave no metal taste behind, and fewer cans and bottles to recycle after its gone!...( two 40 oz."quarts" of Miller Lite yeild the equivilant of exactly 6.66 (:eek1: ) twelve ounce beers!..and cost me only $3.30!!..a six pack of 12 oz.cans (yuk) is $4.99....!

I've used everything from belt buckles to car door lock latches to open beer bottles in an "emergency"!..I have 2 nails pounded in the wall of my shop, that serve well as a beer opener when I cant find the real mcoy...the best one I have seen so far is the commercial on TV that uses a Parrot to crack open a beer!...

I wish ohio had deposit returns on aluminum cans..

One year our camaro club was in ann arbor for the camaro superfest show at domino farms..we left about three 12 packs worth of empty cans from friday night in our motel room, fully intending to redeem them saturday afternnon and buy more beer for that night.. don't you know the damn cleaning people came in and took all of our cans?

    Deport 'em all I say..

    Tom

I prefer in glass, but I'll drink it out of a can or what ever. The edge of a counter works well, but not everyone likes that on there counters ;)

    Not really!

NO!..one must be nearly DESTITUTE to worry about 2 bucks and change when it comes to something as important as beer!!...:(

Actually,I don't drink that much lately--I had issues with over-indulgance in the past..I try to behave myself now..

I bought those 2 - 40 oz. bottles friday night, and I still have one full one,and about one beer's worth in the fridge still!..I just like quaffing down a nice cold glass of beer when its HOT like today, and the next few days are going to be in the 90's..especially after mowing a lawn,or other jobs on a hot day!..I never cracked the seal yet on the 1/2 pint of Southern Comfort I bought with the beer either..I must be slipping...:doah:
    Oh well,tonights another night..

Same here haven't used one in a long time... It seems that there is always something you can open em on. Just make sure its not purdy marble countertop :) Decks or wooden desks seem to work perfect for me
